On May 22nd, 2019 we had the enormous pleasure to attend to the first edition of the ASO Conference in Berlin, organized by our friends at Incipia and Phiture. ASO Conference is an event that focuses 100% on ASO (App Store Optimization), on which there were more than 150 ASO specialists and app marketing professionals. It was a blast!

We enjoyed a fabulous day, we talked to a lot of people and did tons of networking. Without a doubt, the ASO Conference is already a must-attend event for us.

ASO Conference Berlin 2019 – Contents

In terms of content, as it couldn’t be otherwise, speakers talked about everything related to this discipline, which has been growing and evolving for the last years: KPIs, methodologies, case studies, tools, challenges…

ASO Conference Berlin 2019 - Thomas Petit

In general terms, most common topics were Similar Apps on Google Play, the importance of Conversion Rate and CRO, the Organic Uplift, the evolution of the app stores and API usage to automate tasks and ease intern reporting.

Nowadays, ASO has evolved a lot (as Thomas Petit mentioned during his talk) and we have a lot more information to analyze, understand and optimize, but we need the adequate tools to work properly. And, of course, use our common sense.

Lectures and speakers

Sincerely, we were gladly surprised to see the quality of all the lectures, we loved them so much! However, we need to highlight some of them: Aude Boscher (Phiture), Gabe Kwaky (Incipia), Wolfgang Peters (Flaregames), Tim Jones (Keepsafe) and Roman Golfier (Spil Games).

In the final part of the event, several ASO tools (AppFollow, AppTweak, Mobile Action, StoreMaven, ASO Giraffe and TheTool) had the opportunity -in a speed dating way, 5 minutes format- to share their functionalities with the audience, their roadmaps, etc., about 5 concrete topics:

  1. What kinds of keyword research features do you offer?
  2. How do you support localization workloads?
  3. Do you provide any insight into algorithm updates?
  4. What kind of automation do you offer?
  5. What other features do you want people to be aware of?

Our CEO talked about all of our new and unique features that we’ve been releasing for the past two years since TheTool was born 2 years ago: Organic Uplift tracking, Similar App Cards data (Google Play), Conversion Rate tracking, API, Installs per Keyword and many more. Moreover, he showed some of the features that are coming soon for all of our plans, such as pre-order and pre-register tracking, our own market intelligence with accurate downloads and revenue estimations for all apps and games.
